Whats scary to me, in my opinion, is if you read the announcement on Friday about the new loan note with the above in mind.

Not sure what's scary. The ASX wanted an actual price to demonstrate compliance with 7.1 through new number of shares. Not a discount to VWAP plus interest. Same both ways, but this way makes the ASX happy.
