Only privacy concerns prevent me from publishing just how little local funding from parents [mostly battler unable to afford such] is donated to public schools.

One thing that public schools and local commercial operators do well though is to deliver very high value for parents / communities. It's also true that some parents who've trained to 'work with kids' and who undertake police checks are able to support teachers to help minimise costs and to maximise expertise.
