    barrons, thank goodness the only competitor likely in the next 5 yrs or so spent $1.5B on a plant only capable of producing a virtually static 1000t for each of the last 6 Q's. Not forgetting of course that they have managed to add an unknown quantity of LREC, or Light Rare Earth Concentrate @ 83% Ce/La, into that mix.

    And that is after 50 years experience with their orebody!!!!!!!

    The proposition anybody can just build an SX plant and flick a switch is sheer fantasy.

    Interestingly the only writedowns that Moly have taken to date have been against acquisitions, most notably Neo, a clear admission they paid way too much at the top of the market.

    Wonder what the bean counters would write Mt Pass down to? Particularly Ph2 given another 16ktpa Ce/La isn't going to be terribly useful for at least another 10yrs or so.

    Bag Lynas all U want, but sometimes useful to have a little perspective.
