We have been using the carry bags that you can buy for about 15 years (we do a lot of shopping at Aldi which do not have any bags)
Any plastic bags we get are used for other things where applicable and any excess is put in the bins at the supermarkets to recycle
Plastic bags, cling wrap etc all have a viable use and it is only the lazy morons who scatter them to the four corners of the globe that are the problem
So once again instead of fixing the problem they have decided to penalize everyone instead of fixing the problem
I read a sci-fi novel many years ago where the people had deep caves under their city and they found lots of electronic gadgets and tools.
They used them until the batteries went flat or they were broken and tossed them out because the civilization had dumbed down so much they had no skills of knowledge of how technology worked so could not fix them
Australia is fast reaching this point where NO ONE can do work and NO ONE can fix anything, the population is getting so dumb
