I used to own and run a lifestyle property in the late 80's early 90's stocked with a small herd of 30 herefords up Ackland Hill Rd Cherry Gdns in the Adelaide hills.
We were at the end of the grid and would have blackouts at least twice or thrice a week.
If Melbourne were to experience what we had experienced,,, requiring our own back up diesel powered automatic generator,,, we would soon get the 'convenience demanding voters on side. I dare say even the greenies would complain,,, seeing they are so used to complaining.
If the grid ever does become coal compramised, the knee jerk reaction will be tsunami like,,, believe you me .
