Why Conroy thinks that spending billions on rolling cable out to remote agricultural areas when wireless can reach them for a pittance (and if you spend decent money on it (still a fraction of NBN levels), you can actually get good speed, just takes more antennas and bigger signals). You could throw in a mobile phone free and perhaps even a decent ambulance service and a hospital there as well for the same price if you made the NBN fibre to the node instead.
if you want a good laugh listen to 2GBs interview with Conroy then with the World of Warcraft user who scored it in Armidale. Apparently he is a top level player (which means he has no life whatsoever) and this will help him a lot, in between him browsing the net at more reliable rates. Very glad he got lucky.
Now if they could take 30 billion off personal income taxes at the top end I might start having some warm feelings for this government but thats a snowballs chance in hell!
