fine to be flippant but old people who live on their own worry about these things, hurting themselves etc and being able to contact someone
not about making a 2 hour call, about peace of mind that they can reach someone when in need!
this is a problem for the NBN, over time it will diminish as more and more get mobile devices but right now that's not all old folks
