Forget about the "mums and dads who don't have any mining / energy / resources background who couldn't see it for what it was and listened to these guys and girls" on Hotcopper. Hopefully no one is making large investment decisions based on a HC post.

What about the mums and dads who don't have any mining / energy / resources background, who made investment decisions, bought and/or cashed options from various option schemes, all based on formal company announcements to the ASX, and media releases and announcements from senior company management. That is the true crime. They may not have a mining / energy / resources background, but they rightfully had an expectation that management would be truthful, and/or held accountable by the regulators for their statements.

The actions of this former management however, is proof positive that they were well aware that the story they were selling to these investors was not the truth. They aren't a long way from Bernie Maddoff IMHO and have no place doing business anywhere again.
