The Beaver is a "bush" aircraft, capable of short takeoffs/landings, and slow flight.
What killed it was the near 90 degree reported bank...... unsustainable in low/slow mode even with opposite rudder to hold the nose up, which increases drag more, and accelerates a stall.
Why did the experienced pilot make that steep turn at that point?, for there is your answer. Could be something as simple as avoiding a collision with a large bird...... an eagle? Geese have gone through aircraft windscreens in North America, so logical to avoid if you safely can. Hope it wasnt a drone. We may never know....
