The west has enjoyed a great way of life - despite the Christian religion.
I was raised a Catholic and went to Catholic schools - so I have a soft spot for what Christianity has provided to society
It wasn't all beer and skittles during its 2000 year history though.
Christianity has been responsible for far more pain, agony and death than virtually any other religion in the last 2000 years if you look at the Church without rose coloured glasses.
Now Islam is trying to balance things up.
If one delves into why Islam and the Church were created - it all comes down to controlling the masses with its old "fear and favour" trick.

In the world we live today - the benign christianity is waning - churches are empty and the clergy are few. On the other hand, Islam is aggressive, unforgiving and expanding.
