Who knows what will be on offer in coming years. For example in the US, I think T-Mobile has already eliminated global roaming charges.

I have read articles where they wrote that because of the continual improvements in VOIP, eventually the telecommunications companies may have to offer free phone calls. They will have to get their revenue from charging for data.
