I had a look at what a US telecommunications company was charging because the US quite often leads the world. T-Mobile was the only one I looked at because stated it was cheaper than the others. There is no way I am going to look up all the plans for every telecommunications company in every country.

VOIP is probably the biggest competitor to all the tradition telecommunications companies.

I have now had a quick look at Verizon and it has different rates for different countries. Verizon appears to be significantly more expensive than T-Mobile.
