Yes at an individual investor level, but any pack is ruled by emotion.
It may just be possible to walk and chew gum at the same time. I personally find it comforting to have a handle on tracking the progress of the US cycle. My simple 5 traffic lights is all I need now. I have learnt to block out all other noise. That then allows me to put things into perspective and return my focus to value.
However, value can also become delusional, as I am sure you would honestly agree on reflection. I recall some of your posts in late 2018 had that flavour. The delusion being the most elevated when the pack is ruled by unbridled greed and euphoria (end of US cycle), then ruled by unbridled fear and pessimism (start of new cycle).
I can walk and chew gum at the same time. I am finding it surprisingly peaceful and enjoyable.
