The cacophony of gibberish and pseudoscientific BS by the Muppets of Denial on this thread could give readers an inkling of the BS that poured out when two of the extreme conservative's chief warriors in the culture wars - Joe Rogan and Jordan Peterson - did a climate podcast on April 22.
the podcast, #2309 of the Joe Rogan Experience, has been viewed more than 4 million times on You Tube and more elsewhere including nearly 1 million on X twitter, and is a mine of misinformation and BS.
of course the quality of the dialogue on the podcast is of a much higher order than the garbage posted hereon by the Muppets of Denial.
Rogan, Peterson and the said Muppets all share the same gaping hole in their knowledge of climate science: none are actually climate scientists. Their ignorance precedes them.
Peterson, by his own admission in the podcast, is not a climate scientist, and does not appear to have any background in climate science, according to the Science Feedback organization in a statement on Friday.
Peterson's page on the website of the University of Toronto, his former institution, describes him as “a professor emeritus of psychology” and “a clinical psychologist”. This background has proved useful in Peterson becoming a Prince if not King of the Incels, a rabble of troubled youth who blame women for the boys being unable toget a shag.
.Rogan, whose podcast series is one of the most popular in the world, has a background in comedy, acting, and sports broadcasting, but no climate science experience.
Climate deniers have chosen to be ignorant and have reached that vacant space through some arcane irrational thinking so rational arguments can't reach these outliars.
the Science Feedback team have debunked some of the Rogan/Peterson BS palaver. I'll be presenting some of their work in a series of posts on this HC thread in coming days.
the garbage in the podcast has been debunked many times previously but the Science Feedback extracts put the BS into a modern context. The Muppets of Denial are sure to go overboard in reacting to the extracts showing how desperately short they are of suitable material.
