I totally agree with this article. He could have included the increase in aged health costs which are only borne by self-funded retirees.

    Deliberate breakdown: thesinking of Australia

Exercisingcontrol over citizens is a lure for communists

Restlessly reading the papers the other day, this caughtmy eye:

‘…it appears the entire political class is deliberately tryingto increase construction costs and worsen housing affordability, not to mentionlay the groundwork for a breakdown in social cohesion as immigration spiralsout of control.’ Adam Creighton, the Institute of Public Affairs’ (IPA) chiefeconomist, (The Australian,June 6, 2025).

Must admit, it caught my eye because it resonates with myown bleak view of what’s happening in Australia – largely as a result of the Laborgovernment’s policies.

An economist pinpoints housing affordability andimmigration as examples of policy areas that show the deliberate breaking downof quality of life in Australia. To those two big issues must be added climatealarmism that continues to inflict damage on the economy and undermine socialcohesion.

I know, it was former Liberal Prime Minister ScottMorrison who, perhaps drunk on Kool-aid, adopted the devil’s spawn of Net Zerofor which he will never be forgiven – notwithstanding his AC gong in the King’sBirthday honours. But then, as Creighton says, it’s ‘the entire politicalclass’…

Still, Labor had a chance to ameliorate the worst impactsof policies driving towards the Net Zero cliff by applying some common sensebrakes. There is no shortage of well-informed observations from qualified, independent scientists on the folly of it, nor of smart methods as to how tolimit its destructive forces.

I mention science, but I believe that claiming ascientific rationale was a clever sleight of hand by proponents. There wasn’t agenuine rationale. The real agenda of climate alarmism did not emerge asscience but as a means to achieve political objectives. It’s not about savingthe planet but changing the world. If it were really a scientific issue, itwould not be a political issue.

The most pertinent and potent policy alternative to whatis being executed would be – if you consider transition to renewables essential– to delay the transition until the readiness and effectiveness of alternativesto dependable and cheap fossil fuel energy sources is at hand. The narrativepushing urgency before the end of the world is a messaging tactic. Ever sinceAl Gore’s The Inconvenient Truth, we have been nearing that dreaded ‘tipping point’ without ever coming close to reaching it.

At the COP15 Climate Conference in December 2009, it waspredicted that the North Pole ice cap would be completely gone, ice free, by2014.

In what is surely the most ridiculed climate alarmistclaim, the agitators have had to defer the tipping point several times since.

It is inescapable that pursuing Net Zero policies extractsan energy tax on the whole system.

So my point is that, yes, the wrecking of the economyappears deliberate and climate alarmism is arguably its biggest battering ram.Australia’s spending on climate change policies under Labor is now over $9billion a year, as Creighton’s IPA has calculated.

Feeding the deliberate breaking-up of economies andsociety is an encroaching communism-adjacent mindset, where class warfare isreplacing rational economic policymaking. Labor’s planned supertax is oneexample. It is part of the attack on the rich, a classic lure for communists.Exercising control over citizens is also a lure for communists. Censoring andcurtailing free speech is another. One man’s mis- and disinformation bill is acommunist’s national security policy.

The sense that Australia is under some malign influence isechoed by Flat White editor Alexandra Marshall when she writes: ‘Upon returning to history it is clear that the single purpose of the Liberal Party, in all of its lifetimes, is to oppose Labor’s communism …. we have been enduring a war of attrition against stealthy communism and a fake climate apocalypse – believed by no one and yet financed by everyone.’

It is to deliberately undermine our economy and standardof living that, ‘Australia’s exciting technology future is being held back byour energy policy,’ as the head of energy research at MST Marquee, puts it.‘Energy market rule changes targeting data centres are under consideration bythe Australian Energy Market Operator: they appear poorly informed andspecifically designed to throttle growth. Energy policy may be deliberatelycalibrated to stymie our growth agenda.’

As for social cohesion … over the June 8 weekend, welearnt that Israeli speaker and technology expert Hillel Fuld, born in NewYork, has responded after Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke revoked his visaciting ‘islamophobia rhetoric’ which risked inciting ** against Australia’sMuslim population. Never mind the ** among the Australian non-Muslimpopulation over the acceptance into Australia of thousands of effectivelyunvetted refugees from Gaza.

Fuld, who was set to speak at fundraising events in Sydneyand Melbourne hosted by Magen David Adom, an Israeli national emergencyservice, confirmed he had been barred from Australia ‘because of my tweets’.

In one post on X, quoting ‘all available data’, Fuld claimed up to 15 per cent of Muslims were‘radicalised’, and that Islam was a ‘global plague’. In another post, Fuld said liberal Western values can ‘never coexist next to radical Islamic values’.

Was it shame that led the Home Affairs Minister to signthe ban as Australian Jewish Association reports, well after sunset at 5.48 pmon Friday afternoon (June 7) after the King’s birthday long weekend and Shabbathad started?

Will those of us who find Fuld’s posts credible and tendto agree with them, now self-deport or wait until the midnight knock on ourdoor?

The Voice was an attempt at revolution – a distinct groupintending to acquire power in some form. As the late historian KeithWindschuttle wrote in The Breakup ofAustralia: the Real Agenda Behind Aboriginal Recognition:

The goal of Aboriginal political activists today is togain ‘sovereignty’ and create a black state, equivalent to the existing states. Its territory, comprising all land defined as native title, will soon amount tomore than 60 per cent of the whole Australian continent. Constitutionalrecognition, if passed, would be its ‘launching pad’.

The deliberate breaking down of energy and social cohesionis another covert attempt at revolution. Climate catastrophism is the spearheadand the umbrella under which destructive agendas can be activated, easier ifcitizens are complacent. Or made fearful…
