Ivanpah killed a flock of birds during commissioning when it's mirrors were focused above the receiver in the morning before being adjusted down to the target. After this happened a simple software change was made to not focus the mirrors before aligning them on the target.
The amount of bullshit that has been created since this would generate more power if it was burnt that any nuke reactor in its life time.
