@zipperlip O.K. I rarely watch TV, read a lot but I do watch Attenborough though . . .
re Sahara Greening: it was a single one-off event in September 2024
and weather patterns are shifting, also what you say about the South Sea Islands is false, and this I saw on TV Vanuatu

Africa is generally drying, thousands of young African men do the perilous journey to Europe because they cannot farm etc.
and do not know where you get the fairy tale about Pacific Islands from:
https://www.nasa.gov/earth/climate-change/nasa-analysis-shows-irreversible-sea-level-rise-for-pacific-islands/
Yes, you are right the antarctic ice has lately been growing, due to extra precipitation (which could also be related to global warming), but scientists don't know if this is temporary or not
https://www.futura-sciences.com/en/against-all-odds-antarctic-ice-is-growing-again-heres-why_17702/
But the opposite has occurred in the Arctic, Arctic ice is definitely shrinking with an alarming effect on its remaining wildlife, as well as the capacity of the polar ice mantle to deflect the sun and stop excess heating - eventually contributing to more global warming.

So take your pick - I don't profess to know all about the intricate connections between the various winds, storms, cyclones, but also get reports from my 'old country' and their unusual weather events - and have visited England (and Europe) numerous times in the last 30 years and have observed big changes. The north is definitely warming up -
Here in Western Australia I have observed a drying and a later onset of the seasons - surely you must have noticed that too.
I don't take my information from either TV nor politically paid for and motivated sites like those so-called American 'Universities' one poster is so fond of quoting, but whatever you or I think, the climate and Mother Earth will do what it will do to show those pesky and wasteful humans how to behave.
Go well
