    @kingy is only giving you the physics. I too have a reasonable understanding of the physics. these are the facts that underpin the action of GHGs on the global average temperature.

    you've seen frequent evidence of the effect of GHGs. yet you keep seeking, seemingly desperately, to find some alternative to the facts and evidence. I've read all your posts on this thread, as I usually do with your posts wonderchild. I've seen no evidence of your views being open to the reality that is.

    convection is the movement of liquids from areas of high concentration to low concentration. its this that causes weather. increasing the temperature of a liquid causes increased convection, i.e. turbulence. convection does not change the average temperature. its a movement of the liquid.
