Here, everyone KNOWS cc is happening rapidly - the evidence is all around
people KNOW that things are very different - people on the land and who work with or in nature are well aware that things are very different
they get on with adapting.
One massive difference between countries besides the pointless bickering we see in Australia is --------- dislocation by any reason - extreme weather - of which, there is a lot, fire, accident - gas explosion or whatever -
in most countries - it's not the same issue as it is in Australia -
take - ? 2023 I think it was - 2.5 million americans were dislocated because of extreme weather events - many of those couldn't return home because their homes were damaged badly or written off
imagine if that happened in Australia -------------- spot the difference?
Australia has nowhere for dislocated people to go
Australia has no builders to build houses - evidence - Insurance companies can't get builders to replace homes lost from weather extremes
and there you have it ------------- Australia is a sitting duck for a large national disaster - and there is very little that can be done about it -
because - there're no resources to house dislocated people
IMO - rather than pissing about arguing about Co2, renewables, nuclear or any other crazy derailing issues
the real problem for Australia's is that if they lose their home - from fire from a storm on the Gold Coast - heaven forbid from a Cat 5 cyclone hitting a populated area
then - you will have people living in tents - there just is 'nowhere to live'
imagine a Cat 5 hitting a densely populated area???? --------- we're talking about third world conditions for all ------------ for years.
Rather than boofheads talking about panic talk ------------ SOMEONE should be talking about planning ------------- AND doing
