but, how many people would be dislocated if a storm with winds of up about 250 to 300 km went through a populated area?
do you think - no houses would be damaged? 1000 houses? 10,000 houses
the point is that every house that is rendered uninhabitable from any cause -
the residents in that house are instantly ------------- homeless
that's the difference, there are no rentals, there are no builders to rebuild or repair, there is limited emergency accommodation
so, unless there's a magic period where there are no properties in Australia damaged by fire, flood, storm, etc etc --
unless that fantasy happens - then, the dislocated population are going to be homeless.
one wants to really keep one's fingers crossed for no big fires or big storms --
