    ''Climate since 1850 is irrelevant''

climate since the industrial revolution is irrelevant????????????

well, we're not going to see that one said every day

you fellas are always on about how or how not to stop, stall or whatever climate change

and you throw the baby out with the bathwater.

I suggest that if one forgets about the mm or not mm and just looks at cc

then, different time periods become VERY relevant

If we go back to before the new stone age ---------- climate change in regards to how it effected humans was VASTLY different to when humans moved into the agrarian era

why? - because before then all we did was hunt and gather - and we easily moved with the climate - if the water levels rose - we moved uphill. If the ice came - we move to warm.

After we got the big idea of farming - then, things got a LOT more complicated - much harder to move.

Then - along came the industrial era - between late 1700's and about 1850

now - if climate changed - well, we had a hell of a lot harder job moving factories, roads, trains, cities than before --------- fairly obvious.

So, whilst people rabbit on about what happened back millions of years, what happened back a couple of hundred years, what happened back 20 years -

the big lessons staring us in the face IMO - are NOT if we are causing it or not, or even how -

but that the most important thing for humans is survival - and it really doesn't matter why the flood is here or the cyclone or the bushfire - what matters is - how you survive it - where is safe and how the hell do you pack up and move to there - and maybe - how fast can you do it or have to do it

we lose so much when we look at 'who is to blame for this'
