Nuclear is definitely an option and using the uncosted line is really diverting away from addressing why it isn’t an option. Most first world countries have it in the mix and because of a quirk of Australian politics it has been dismissed. The CSIRO report was unsatisfactory in its assessment from what I have read thus far from real nuclear experts and Labor just throwing up furphy arguments doesn’t help the public make a decision really.

Baseload isn't a concept that real live electrical engineers talk about anymore. It's not a concept that has meaning in a modern grid.

Why are *you* worried about it?

Or more to the point: Who was it that told you that you should worry about baseload?
