Fielding's strategy has been to migrate the business from nothing to a IT systems implementer/code writer and then to a consulting/services. As a consulting business it has been "unpredictable with lots of competition". The acquisition of the Works mid 2017 was done to shift into a more elite space with more expertise, less competition and higher margin. Whether it was successful will be seen with the FY19 result.
