I think one of our major issues is the hyper fear that has been created via media and that the commitment to eradicate the virus has been made by politicians who will look really stupid if they give up trying now.
My view is that our efforts should be primarily focussed on protecting our vulnerable, finding better ways to treat the disease, and working out how normal life can carry on with it present.
A vaccine may or may not come but we can't live in a bubble indefinitely while we wait.
