Reporting on https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/ is conservative and based on official figures. The CDC in the US estimates that the true figures are grossly under-reported and that the actual infection rate is 5-10x higher. The infection mortality rate is also likely much higher than the official figures so 10% is certainly not an unreasonable estimate.

also I’d ask, if a elderly person in a nursing home here in Australia, was known to have major health problems, heart, lung or kidney disease, them contacts COVID-19, what did that person die of? Your a nurse(?) or ex nurse what would classify that death as? So rubbery numbers here in Australia as well .jet
