    I don't think you can do anything. I am not suggesting there is a solution.

    If the virus is loose it will kill people in Aged Care at a greater rate, because residents have one on one close contact 10-15 times a day. One infected worker will come into contact with a dozen residents a shift.

    You can't protect them, it is unpleasant but that is what it is.

    You won't like this next paragraph.

    If a vaccine be it 60% or 80% effective, it most likely will work less well in the elderly (and obese people). If you are suggesting protecting them you would want to mandate vaccination for all workers and visitors. Otherwise the most vulnerable are at greater risk.

    (I was on a board of a nursing home for 6 years, and was General Manager of one for a very short period.)
