    if indeed - security people are still glorified bouncers - which, I realise they were - I thought the industry might have smartened up a fair bit though -

    but, if they are those old boneheads - then, yes - I probably have to agree that police would be the next best in line - they do have the training to be in public surrounded by innocent people just living normal lives


    what's clear to me is that - if we are to have security people - those people at fairs, shows, dances, footie - etc etc

    we either need them - smart, trained, friendly, communicative and highly skilled - or

    piss em off and not at all ---------- use something else


    as I said - I thought that the industry had changed from the days of the muscle, angry boneheads that we saw laying out unconscious patrons outside of nightclubs in the 60's and 70's

    if I'm wrong - and, that's still the case - then we need to get rid of them basically
