    No, my position on the referendum has little to do with the future electability of the Liberal party. A win for the 'No' side should still be an overall positive for both Dutton and the Libs.

    I can't foresee a situation where someone who votes 'No' will somehow blame Dutton. Dutton doesn't fill out that person's voting form!

    Scott - I'm not aware in any of our discussions where the 'No' objections have been "easily defeated by reason and evidence", as you put it. On the contrary, the concerns raised in the 'No' campaign's pamphlet all have, to varying degrees, some basis in fact, with valid reasons to support their claims. How true their concerns turn out to be is something we'll only know for sure IF the 'Yes' gets up.

    So I don't see how you can conclude this all leaves me 'bereft of an argument'.
