Charles, you may be right about the ABC, but it is generally known that discrimination occurs in this region through different religions or sects. If it was job opportunities because of laziness, fair enough, but I can believe the story because Iran I'm sure doesn't have that many expats but manages to pump vast amounts of oil. Whatever the figures are it is not the time to be taking jobs from the locals if they want them. As this mess unfolds and spreads we will become aware of more abuses in the region, not just those committed by the military. If oil is truly that short then a demilitarised zone will have to be declared by the United Nations in the region because too much depends on its continual flow at a reasonable price. I can't think of a similar circumstance or commodity that has occured in the last 100 years. The next may well be water.
