This is ideal for an electric car with short range (eg100km) that can take you further on weekends/holidays, ideally you hire it for the time you need it.
It would mean less capital investment in the vehicle, less weight when driving and it could really lower the price bar to entry.
Ideally you could buy an electric car with a range of battery pack capacities to suit your needs.
Lets face it, for a lot of people 100km range is more than adequate for most journeys/commutes. If you moved house, you could upgrade the battery pack to next capacity up if needed.
I have been waiting for something like this for a long time.
