What to make over the past couple of days:
1. The Company is not doing anywhere near enough to reduce costs. Credit to Wilkes, he is not taking any fees until funding is finalised.
But - we now have an Executive Chair and an increase to their fees! Why? What is so urgent and important that it goes from Non-Exec to Exec?
As usual there is no comms about why this change is required.
2. Austin P - the Man of Mystery. Still raking in his $116,000 per year. I want to know what he has done for this Company. Refusing to reduce his part-time package in order to save the Company is a disgrace. He has to be voted out.
3. The Company have been attempting to secure funding for over 15 months. Yes, a move to Stage 1A+ has necessitated a re-set but not a re-start to funding communications. So now that they've just shuffled the deck and moved a couple of people around, all of a sudden they're saying that they have the right people in place to secure funding!!! This is not what was told to me by Wilkes during our discussion.
4. This period is vital to the Company. Shareholders deserve to have their new (albeit temporary) leader stand up and make a stand. Take some accountability for the disaster we are facing. Accept some responsibility instead of blaming everything and everyone else for our predicament. It's not her fault, but as the CEO, own it on behalf of the Company. The Company has zero credibility, zero reputation and zero trust. You cannot re-build any of this by sitting there doing nothing while shareholders suffer.
5. The non-exec director remuneration total has to be reduced from $500,000 to $200,000. Massive redundancies need to take place in the short term. It needs to be operated as a shell company (unfortunately) until finance is signed off and the plant is on the ship to Australia.
It is NOT a privilege to be provided with vital information - it is our RIGHT. We deserve to be provided with information and have the right to put our questions to the Board.
