We are entering an election year in Queensland. Funding for something sexy like batteries will require the full ministerial (possibly Premier) visit and handing over of the ceremonial check.
The money may be there in the hundred million dollars, however, it won't be a byline in a budget. It will be a news story.
I'm not sure if we will get federal or state funds, but I'd be shocked, if we don't.
The entire electorate where ADO is based is labor (including the federal treasurer I think?), it's clean energy, it's innovative, and has growth potential...

To me it's a no-brainer for a minister to fund something, that will succeed regardless. it's also not like they aren't known, after winning the awards late last year.

There may also be conversations between federal and state counterparts about joint funding or if one trumps another? For my mind, they may or may not be interested in ANTEO-X but I suspect they are more interested in the new silicon battery.

All my own opinion, and definitely not informed by anything external.
