    MAUL
It seems like I can help with a few Maul things right off the bat, which I am confident are correct, but I have to say are my clear 'understanding':

    - Your opening paragraph 06.02.12 was a bit confusing, as your previous 'thinking' has evidently got it all wrong. The Maul holds 5 rounds as stacked projectiles 'in the barrel' which you pull out of your haversack as a unit and insert in the gun - in a couple of seconds - there is no system that competes with feeding shells - there are zero 'conventional shells' involved.

    - The technology does away with conventional brass cases, or should I say shotgun shells. The five stacked projectile rounds (projectiles - no cases) are already in the disposable carbon fibre barrel that you insert into the weapon.

    - You either have a Maul barrel of door breachers or a barrel of tasers or a barrel of whatever. If you want a door breacher followed up 'next' (2nd shot) by tasers, (and you are alone) you fire the door breacher (leaving 4 in that barrel) then you exchange (2 seconds) that partial used barrel for a new barrel with tasers, then you move forwards. There will not be mixed types in the stacked rounds, as the warfighter could forget his sequence (or find it inconvenient). There may also be technical reasons for this - I'm not sure.

    - One officer can carry the different types of pre-loaded barrels if he wants, but I think in practice, a military or SWAT squad would have different blokes with different types of loads 'in the barrel' as they first storm a place or whatever they are doing, so all options are 'collectively' on hand from 'someone' at the same time.

    - Note that the taser setup works from 25m away - the 'delivery' is therefore nothing like the current police tasers that fire the wires that stay connected to the pistol, with a range limited to 3m or whatever it is. There are no wires that stay connected to the Maul. The potential for this in big unruly crowd control is just enormous.

    - Although a 12gauge is a 12gauge, make no mistake, this MST Maul technology is a total game changer in terms of lightness, speed of fire, and flexibility of lethal or non lethal.

    - No - forget conventional cartridge reloading - an officer will 'not' be able to do custom reloading out the back.

    - The latter thing is the point with the CEO Lee Finniear's previously stated 'razor, razor blade' model. Think a Gillette razor and then razor blades for it. In this case not only does MST sell the electronic guns (Maul), but they then also sell/licence all the 'stacked round' ammo necessary for it, everywhere in the world.

So IF the company can survive the next few months - future profitability - and this is only talking Maul - is likely the stuff of legends?
