What do you mean? The benefits of the new technology means you can store more in a smaller size with significantly less heat exchanging required with a much faster read speed etc etc.

Just like we didn't use floppy disks forever, NAND flash won't be the final stop. Experts already have stated that ReRam will start to filter in at the point end of technology in 2015, so by 2017 or earlier it will start to trickle into consumer goods and rapidly surpass the current technologies, as we have seen happen time and time again. The progress in tech is exponential.
