    to think of oh what an idiom is it just an urge?

    imo, life cannot be understood if urges are not comprehended. instead, the view will arise that all actions are born from the free will of decision making rather than from often uncontrollable urges

    when animals are on 'heat' during their reproductive cycles, are these not uncontrollable urges?

    before, it was posted:

    ...meditation is all about bringing about an internal silence [i.e. stopping the internal dialogue and fantasizing we habitually engage in]...

    This is a statement of theory rather than a statement of natural design because when many try to do this, they find they cannot. This shows urges generally take predominance over free-will (however, not for the angels).

    The Bible says:

    "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."
