The MD, Scott Winter, gave a presentation last week at the Noosa do. Lots of info in the slide deck, probably too much for a live show but still a very useful reservoir of info about the company and vanadium. Given that, I am a bit surprised that the slide deck was not given broadband exposure by way of an ASX announcement. Nor have they stuck the slide deck on their website (that I can see anyway).

Good to see there is a youtube clip of SW's Noosa preso:

The next eight months or so for CMG are looking to be relatively unspectacular but from mid-2025 on things might start revving up. In the medtech sector they call this next deadish period "the valley of death". Medtech juniors just have to keep slogging away doing what needs to be done to get through the doldrums until eventually investors start seeing signs of tangible progress and start investing into the vision.

This valley of death period may also be a common problem for junior miners looking to go downstream. I follow both this company and International Graphite (ASX:IG6) and both are really struggling to do the studies and raise the funds to build downstream processing plants - IG6 wants to take graphite from its Springdale graphite mine in southern WA and process it nearer to Perth into materials for use in lithium batteries but has yet to pull the trigger on building the commercial processing plant. CMG has a massive advantage over IG6 in that its cornerstone investor with more than 30% of the share registry is the big Japanese player, Idemitsu. In contrast IG6's main shareholder, with about 17%, is a delisted miner, Comet Resources. Rather than Comet being a solid back-stop for IG6 Comet's share overhang actually depresses the IG6 share price. Similarly to CMG IG6 gets active financial support from its state government as well as the Feds. Be interesting to watch their journeys and see if either of them make it through the next 12 months. In my opinion if we as a nation are really going to start making stuff again then the types of downstream mining products that CMG and IG6 are attempting to make are our best shot.
