Hmmm - unpacking your image choice to support your metaphor is an interesting thing. 'Clutching at straws' implies a frantic attempt to keep together a bunch of seperate elements (that actually feels like what you are attempting todo by your incessant spewing of your version of LKE all to support your selfish motives) HOWEVER the image you have chosen tells me about your subconscious - you have chosen an image of a hand firmly holding together the elements - i would think that's what we actually want - there is no 'clutching' . Now if it's not a subconscious choice by you then it just indicates a lack of intelligence.
And of course i can't help but add the obvious - you are the 'SHORT' straw.
