We discussed this last month. I can't find the original post now, but the conclusion was: It did not need to be written by a lawyer, there is no legal argument. All of their concerns have already been addressed. In 2010 there was no lasting damage, if there was permanent damage to the permit area from 2010, then they would have a stronger argument.

The permit has had many variations and extensions in the passed, there is no reason to prevent these from happening now.

The government is all for "new gas".
