You call yourself a sane sensible citizen!? Is it sane or sensible to ignore experts in the field? Is it sane or sensible to support the continuation to pollute the air from burning coal when we don't need to? Is it a citizen type act to not care about providing future generations a more habitable world? So you dont want clean air for yourself or for anybody else?
My excuse for my stance, now let me see.... Apart from doing what I can to minimise my personal carbon footprint, I do a lot of reading of literature (from reputable sources) and I care about the environment and the world we all live in.
I still think you have some vested interest in the coal industry. Shares in BHP or RIO going down lately? I'd sell anything with exposure to fossil fuels if I were you, they are so yesterday.
