Can we start a thread about normal internal combustion vehicles; petrol, diesel & LPG/LNG
vertually every thread on this board has lapsed into posts spruiking EVs or related new age metals.
IMO its at least 20 years before such vehicles become the majority on our roads and there have been hundreds of threads on this board about them.
IMO the big conversation happening now among Automotive gurus is the current design perameters governing the design/manufacture of modern ICE vehicles where priority is being given to: -emissions -minimal labour in manufacturing/assembly -plastics to reduce weight and simplify production -massive electronics that renders the average owner helpless in the event of failure -sacrificed reliability -sacrificed durability
And just as an add-on comment: Why can we not produce a hand made/top end car at a premium price to supply the global niche market (in a military sense, we do it with Bushmasters)
