I worked in a steel factory, BlueScope Steel for 25 years and worked with alcoholics and drug addicts.
In my opinion alcoholics seem to perform better than hard drug users.
Try working with a person under the influence of marijuana in a steel factory.
Some of my friends we alcoholics and drank on the job.
You could smell it on their breath.
Beer stinks if you are not drinking it too.
The one's taking pills were completely unpredictable and took many sickies.
Strange, but the alcoholics took very few sickies.
End of story.
