First of all, thanks for interrupting me before I finished the dialogue at the carbonate plant.

Cool your jets mate, there is more to come.,,,

Secondly, The PFS doe not state there is anything missing in the plant.
The plant has produced tonnes of battery grade before.
It states additions to improve the efficiency of the plant, including a feed preheating system, a rotary calcine cooler, and a ball mill.

Also, The Planned additions to the original NAL flowsheet include a sodium sulphate crystalliser and
buffer tanks, which are a value add to capture the waste stream from the carbonate circuit, to produce sodium sulphate.
It is NOT required to produce carbonate, its just a value add.

It states a few times, UPDATING and REFURBISHMENT, meaning the equipment is there and requires the same process they applied in the concentration circuit.
And also states- Because the plant restart includes the use of existing equipment and infrastructure that operated in past years , meaning it has previously operated.

Which is a study and analysis to improve, modernise, update and refurbish.
This is all fact, as stated in the PFS and what we saw...and confirmed by Sylvain, which is still to come....but you interrupted....

And do not diminish what the previous operator accomplished at this very carbonate plant, way back in 2014, before going bankrupt..

RB Energy (TSE:RBI)(OTCQX:RBEIF) rocketed 25 percent on Tuesday after the company announced its first commercial shipment of lithium carbonate from its Quebec lithium operation.

The first container of technical-grade lithium carbonate was shipped to its offtake partner Tewoo ERDC this past weekend, the company said.

Volumes are expected to increase week-on-week toward commercial production levels by late 2014, with weekly shipments now scheduled.

Shares of RB Energy (TSE:RBI) rose on Monday after the company said it is seeing steady production and increasing sales at its Quebec lithium project, while also announcing short-term financing arrangements to secure operations until commercial production stage.

It has shipped 62 tonnes of battery-grade material since August 3 to its off-take partner in China, the company told investors earlier today.

Production at its project is now focused on improving recoveries and increasing volumes towards commercial production levels by year-end, according to RB's statement.

The company said these efforts are all part of the standard commissioning process.

Production levels are currently averaging between 40 and 50 tonnes of material per week, and are expected to ramp up week-on-week.

Although it has shipped lithium carbonate to its offtake partner Tewoo since July — first technical-grade (99%), then battery-grade (99.5%) — it has taken the company longer than anticipated to ramp up production volume. RB hired SGS to complete a technical review of the plant in September. The audit found no fatal flaws, but made several recommendations for improvement, which the company had been adopting.

As to your comments of confirmation bias, it was quite the opposite.
We both went in with a healthy dose of scepticism and a thirst to understand what is truely happening here.

And that conversation with Sylvain, will be front and centre in the next installment of this story.

So the plant has indeed produced tonnes of battery grade carbonate and indeed capable, although not to a modern day efficiency standard, in a similar vein to our concentration plant before the upgrades.

It will take time, but with Sylvain at the helm, applying his strategies of constant study and analysis, involving the ops people with Hatch, I have no doubt it will be a success.
