If a lithium miner was on a pathway to converting spodumene concentrate (that it produced) into lithium carbonate, they would probably like to see that done before they spent millions of dollars building their own conversion facility.
A way of doing that would be to have their spod refined at the world’s number one lithium carbonate refinery.
The one in the picture below, is located at the port where we have just shipped our spod.
If this pathway is followed, SYQ will know exactly what it takes to get ore mined in Quebec to become battery grade material ready for battery makers to use.
The plant below was built by Galaxy Resources and is now owned and operated by Tianqi.
