what annoys me is that NSW and QLD can spend massive $$s to dam water to keep it in their own states to use/wast and downstream Vic/SA suffer from it
i live in the ACT so not really effected but we do see the tv coverage of this issue
there are tens if not hundreds of billions of litres poured down on these states(NT/QLD/NSW) monthly from rain, cyclones further north etc that if captured and distributed correctly could reinvigorate the rivers/lakes across 4 states - a pipeline or something similar would help a lot imo
