Had a few months in Russia and a number of ex communist countries this year. I was surprised how many people were longing for the old communist days when they were looked after by the state. Then they would give me an example of being locked up for ten years for the smallest of indiscretions. Arguable indiscretions at best. .
Admittedly most were old school who had no time/ability to adapt to capitalism. The young were embracing it.
