A quiet weekend, so sharing with you the current take on the macro investment environment that TNG faces in Northern Australia.
Australia is the ninth largest destination for foreign investment in 2013, accounting for 3.5% of global flows.
In the five years to July, there were 1,635 investment projects into Australia, with capital expenditure of USD$100B and generating over140,000 jobs
The environment minister has approved another 300 projects, including 94 in resources.
The free trade agreement with Korea has increased the FIRB screening threshold to $1.078B, well above what Mt Peake needs.
A white paper on northern Australia is being advanced
