Today's Fin Review reports that Jemena MD Paul Adams is quite close to signing up another customer for the Northern Gas Pipeline, which should be fully booked by the time it starts up in late 2018 despite the Northern Territory fracking moratorium.
Mr Adams said Jemena was in talks with three other customers, including Central Petroleum, which is expected to resume focus on advancing its gas development plans after recent distractions, including the rejection by shareholders of a $87 million takeover bid and an attempt to spill the board.
The article also says that Central managing director Richard Cottee is seeing keen interest from east coast buyer for gas he would have available for sale through the NGP. Mr Cottee said 'there's no shortage of suitors'.
