    BHP and WMC
    RIO and North
    Xstrata and MIM

    If my memory serves me correctly, a wide ranging analysis of M&A was once conducted and it showed that 90% destroyed shareholder value.

    That is not to say that OZL should give up - just continue it's discipline.
