BioWave Power makes much less information available publically than CWE but then it isn’t a listed entity and has no obligation. Still, the wave power industry as a whole needs good public exposure and to date it has been almost entirely due to CWE’s successes. No doubt BioWave is keeping its private investors informed on a regular basis. It must be hard finding venture capitalists for such projects. Oceanlinx used to do the broker circles regularly with great difficulty.
I have been keenly looking forward to the first activation of their oscillating monster. In principle it operates in much the same way as Aquamarine’s oyster. Did you see the colossal size of the deployment vessel? How could it be whisked off the seabed in case of mishap? Zero maintenance? The PTO can be removed separately but even that is a massive device (the large cylinder under the horizontal axis).
Actually MF, it should be reasonably safe being next to it in a tinny. Remember that the oscillating unit and any small boat would be moving laterally in unison with the surge of the water.
