If you look at mainstream organizations then I agree that such violence is an aberration rather than the norm. The vast majority of Muslims and Christians are not terrorists and most catholic priests are probably not pedophiles.

However, when people are at the extreme be it neo nazi or fundamentalist Christian/Islamic/Jewish organizations then there is a higher risk of violence and the type of language used recently in Australia has the potential to incite such people.
